You should lodge your application at least 2 months before your planned admission month. Complex applications may take longer.
You will receive an email confirming your eligibility for a compliance certificate when your application is complete, and your fee payment has been received by VLAB.
IN-PERSON ADMISSIONS IN THE SUPREME COURT OF VICTORIA
There is limited availability at in-person ceremonies and numbers are subject to change at the discretion of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Each ceremony is capped at a maximum of 50 applicants and admission times are 9.30am, 11.30am and 2.30pm.
If you have chosen an in-person ceremony you will be automatically assigned to the earliest available ceremony upon a fully completed and paid application. You will receive a link to pay the admission fee when all documents on your application are received, assessed, and approved by VLAB. Please factor in at least one week for review of documents after they have been uploaded.
You will be notified of the ceremony date and time when you receive your compliance certificate.

If you have chosen to be admitted on the papers, you will be required to file an affidavit. Further information will be provided when you receive your compliance certificate.

The actual date of your paper admission cannot be confirmed but subject to compliance with the timetable above, your admission will be ordered by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in the scheduled month.
